Transfer week 3

On our way to Cape Coast we came upon a truck over loaded with wood.
Every time he dove on the right side of the road the load would tip to the right.
So he stayed in the middle of the road.  We could not pass.

This is the construction site we came upon would you like to guess how we got through this.

You just drive until you come to a truck, road grader or any thing and just move over to the other side of the road.
The cars from the other side do the same. You might be lucky to have a flag man but they were no help.

These are the new missionaries from the Ghana MTC for the Cape Coast Mission.
They are going to have dinner with President Stevenson and his wife.

Dinner was Chicken and fried rice with tomato stew and a cabbage and carrot salad with mayo on it.

New Missionaries read to go to assigned areas to meet their companions.

Elder Ameyaw helping pound FuFu.
Theresa is the cook.

This is what Sister Sorensen had. The light soup is spicy and has lots of peppers.

This is the AP's and Supply Elders eating FuFu, you eat FuFu with your fingers.

This store is in the West Hills Mall in Accra and it is decorated for Christmas. We were doing some grocery shopping
and the power went out. They had a generator for one light in the middle of the store and for the computers so you could check out. The power is Praso has been out about 50 hours the last couple of weeks the generator has had a work out.

This is a Hawker with all the items for sale on her head.

We are following the bus with missionaries in Accra and their is a hawker walking between the cars.

This is a termite hill.

This truck has broken down. They leave them in the middle of the road and put branches off a tree in the road for warning.

Bug of the week.

  1. How did the Mayo on the carrots taste? I'm sure glad we are more organized with our construction....I wouldn't be able to figure out what to do.
